The Instituto de Biomecánica de Valencia (IBV – Biomechanics Institute of Valencia) is a Spanish technological centre that studies the behavior of the human body and its interaction with products, environments and services. IBV was founded in 1976, working under the figure of a non-profit association and jointly sponsored by the Institute for the Small and Medium Valencian Industry (IMPIVA) and the University of Polytechnic of Valencia (UPV).
IBV is a Spanish cross-sectoral RTO focused in the study, analysis and assessment of humanproduct interaction in the fields of ergonomics, physiology, comfort and usability. Their activity is majorly addressed to SMEs operating in nine business areas including footwear, clothing, technical-aids for elderly and disable people and furniture.
Role in the project
IBV has a lot of experience in European projects and will be the project coordinator. IBV will also lead and coordinate the tasks related with the consumer goods market. Also, IBV has a communication department and will lead the dissemination work
