The BodyPass project was one of the sponsors of the European Big Data Value Forum 2020 that took place virtually between the 3rd and the 5th of November 2020 under the theme “Building a strong European Data and AI Ecosystem”. The project had a virtual booth and organized its own session on the 5th of November that gathered more than 70 attendees.

The project’s session “Tools for processing and exchanging 3D medical image big data” was focused on the ongoing health pilot in two hospitals in Spain and Italy. In particular, the session tackled the different tools to process and harmonize 3D databases, aggregate 3D data from different huge datasets, exchange 3D data and assure anonymization and data protection (based on blockchain technology and distributed query engines), as well as the services and visualization tools adapted to the necessities of the healthcare sector.

Dr. Prof. Josep Redón from INCLIVA, Pietro Cipresso from Istituto Auxologico Italiano, Dmitry Nikolaevich Znamenskiy, senior scientist at Philips Research and Iván Martínez, senior researcher at Atos Spain, participated in the session.
